CNC Machine Part Marking Tools

Micro-percussion, Scribe, & Roller Emboss Tools

CNC marking tools are designed for use in vertical/horizontal CNC machining centers and CNC lathes. They can be an affordable alternative to secondary part marking solutions, especially in job shops, machine shops, etc.

Gravostar CNC Marking Tools by DM Solutions

CNC marking tools by Gravostar allow you to mark flat, round, or uneven parts directly in your machining center or CNC lathe milling system. This allows for the manufacturing and marking of parts to take place within a single workflow — each part leaves the milling machine already equipped with the desired alphanumeric text, symbol, or logo.

Standard models feature a marking needle driven by either internal cooling (W series) or compressed air (H series). Scribing and roller embossing tools are also available for finer marking.

Micropercussion — Coolent-Driven Tools

Gravostar W-20 Coolant-Driven CNC Marking Tool

Gravostar W-20

  • Use in machining centers, automatic lathes, etc. (no additional installations required).
  • Oscillation the gravostar W-20 tool type is generated by the coolant system.
  • All functional elements of the pulse control system are integrated into the tool. As soon as the coolant system is activated, the stylus begins to oscillate at a frequency of approx. 300 Hz.
  • Due to the high oscillating frequency, the individual marking points are so close together creating a mark that appears as a continuous deep line.
  • For universal use (Weldon shank shaft with a diameter of 20mm).
  • Applications: Individual markings of any workpieces with regular, uneven or rough surfaces.
Gravostar WS-20 Coolant-Driven CNC Marking Tool

Gravostar WS-20

  • Use in machining centers, automatic lathes, etc. (no additional installations required).
  • Oscillation generated by the coolant system.
  • Integrated, automatic distance compensation up to approx. 3mm (Regular marking depth also of uneven marking surfaces).
  • Applications: Workpieces with large irregularities or dimensional differences such as rough castings.

Micropercussion — Pneumatic-Driven Tool

Gravostar WS-20 Pneumatic-Driven CNC Marking Tool

Gravostar H-20

  • Use in machining centers, automatic lathes, etc. (no additional installations required).
  • Oscillation generated by machine air (3 – 8 bar required).
  • All functional elements of the pulse control system are integrated into the tool. As soon as the air supply is activated, the needle begins to oscillate at a frequency of approx. 300 Hz.
  • Due to the high oscillating frequency, the individual marking points are so close together creating a mark that appears as a continuous deep line.
  • For universal use (Weldon shank shaft with a diameter of 20mm)
  • Applications: Individual markings of any workpieces with regular, uneven, or rough surfaces.

Scribe Marking Tool — No Drive Required

Gravostar R-20 CNC Scribe Marking Tool

Gravostar R-20

  • Use in machining centers, automatic lathes, etc. (no additional installations required).
  • Drive is not required for the scratch marking process because of the spring-mounted, pre-tensioned marking stylus.
  • Workpiece is marked by a combination of material compression and displacement.
  • Uneven marking surfaces can be provided with a consistent marking depth because of the consistent pre-tension pressure of the spring-mounted pre-tensioned marking stylus in the axial direction.
  • Integrated, automatic distance compensation up to approx. 6mm (regular marking depth also of uneven marking surfaces).
  • Marking depth via individually pre-adjustable adjusting sleeve (with scale for repeatable pre-tension pressure adjustment)
  • Applications: Individual fine markings of any workpieces with regular, uneven, or rough surfaces.
